Tamara McKinnon joined Kane Shannon & Weiler as an associate in March of 2016. Tamara grew up in the lower mainland, where she attended Simon Fraser University. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology in 2000, and obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa in 2007.

Tamara practices family law, insurance defence, employment law, human rights and personal injury law.
She is the former President of the Kamloops Bar Association and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association as well as the Vancouver Bar Association. Tamara is also on the board of directors for the Terminal City Rollergirls.

Outside of the office, Tamara enjoys long distance running with her dog, snowboarding, roller skating and spending time with her family.
